Everton and Liverpool face more Premier League fixture chaos after King Charles III coronation date confirmed

The Premier League is facing another weekend of fixture disruption after the coronation date of King Chalres III was confirmed as May, 6 2023.

Government officials have been drawing up plans for the official date to crown the new King, alongside his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, ever since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8.

All fixtures on the weekend of September 10/11 were postponed as a mark of respect, while Liverpool’s planned trip to Chelsea the following weekend was also called off due to policing concerns around the state funeral.
