Eurovision winner Linda Martin is working hard to get her new dog sanctuary ready ahead of its grand opening this week.
The Dublin Dog Hub will officially open in Meakstown, Finglas at 1pm on Friday, with 'Lord of the Rings' star Ian McKellen agreeing to cut the ribbon on the day of the launch.
Linda spent her St Patrick's Day weekend painting the floors and adding last minute touches to the sanctuary. The singer has been an animal rights advocate for decades and is a firm supporter of Dogs Aid.

Speaking on Newstalk Breakfast last week, Linda revealed that the dog shelter has been in the works for two years. "I’m involved in animal welfare pretty much all my life," she said.
"I just adore animals. The fact that we didn’t have a city centre dog shelter anymore … two years ago, I just decided to put my money where my mouth was.
"I was given a piece of land and then I applied for planning permission, which took basically two years to get that all paid up and sorted.
"We started putting the building up in November - not a great month to put any sort of a building on a site - but we started in November and we’re just about finished."
