Eurovision Song Contest ticket warning to fans ahead of sale

Eurovision Song Contest tickets will be available to purchase from tomorrow.

The BBC Sounds Eurovision Cast team broke the news but stressed an important note to follow if you want to purchase tickets Fans from around the world will be able to purchase tickets for the 2023 Liverpool shows from midday, March 7.

Ticketmaster will be handling the distribution but only one of its sites will finalise purchases. Its UK domain is the only site Eurovision fans can buy tickets. Tickets will only be available to purchase here regardless of the country you are booking from.

You must have a Ticketmaster UK account to purchase tickets, and fans are encouraged to create their account in advance.

There will be no priority release for Liverpool residents. Instead, they will have to obtain tickets with the rest of the world at midday tomorrow.

When asked why locals weren't offered an early release, a spokesperson for the BBC told the Liverpool ECHO: "Eurovision is a huge international event which sees 37 countries take part.

"As host city, Liverpool will become a hub of Eurovision activity come May with a 12-day culture festival and the Eurovision Village on the Pier Head already confirmed."
