The earthquake caused some buildings to partially collapse - (AP)

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake has struck Naples and is one of the strongest recorded quakes in the area in recent history.

The shake happened early on Thursday, March 13, and sent 11 people to the hospital, the most serious of whom suffered concussion after part of a ceiling collapsed on them, officials said.
