Tonight’s EuroMillions draw marked a disappointing run for Irish players as no mega prizes were secured, however, 45 punters came incredibly close to bagging €500,000 each.
The top prize was won in the Irish-only draw by the same number of players who matched four numbers to come away with €2,000.
Although a nice sum, if any of them had matched just one more number they would have secured the top prize in that draw of a half-million euro.
The numbers called in this draw were; 15, 18, 22, 40, and 47.
Meanwhile, in the main draw of the evening, the top prize in Ireland was on by fifteen players who match four numbers and one lucky star.
Those players came away with just €78 each, while eight lucky players elsewhere in Europe matched five numbers and one lucky star to win €66,901 each.
The numbers called in this draw were; 7, 10, 22, 29, 44, and the lucky stars were 4 and 5.
The main jackpot worth an incredible €17,000,000 went unclaimed and so will roll over to Friday’s draw.
In the meantime, Irish players have another chance at winning millions in the Irish National Lottery taking place on Wednesday, September 7.
Tickets can be bought for this draw until the cut off time of 7:45 pm on the day, before the draw at 8:00 pm for the €5,500,000 prize.
