The Boston Celtics have signed star forward Jaylen Brown to a supermax contract extension, making him the highest-paid player in NBA history with a five-year, $304 million deal. The team and fans appreciate Brown’s dedication, commitment and passion both on and off the basketball court, but some analysts had plenty to say about the deal when the news broke.
Among them is ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who expressed his feelings about the historic contract extension on an episode of the “First Take” show when news of the supermax deal was made public earlier this week.
