ESPN’s Hoop Collective reacts to Boston Celtics trading for Jrue Holiday

The Boston Celtics made a major trade, acquiring former Milwaukee Bucks All-Star guard Jrue Holiday, which reshaped their roster and made them strong contenders for the 2024 NBA title among the other such teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics now boast a formidable defensive backcourt with Jrue Holiday and starting point guard Derrick White, making them a defensive powerhouse to be reckoned with next season. The trade involved giving up 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogden, big man Robert Williams III, and two first round picks, sparking debate on whether the deal was too costly.
