Escape To The Chateau ’s Angel Strawbridge has unveiled the biggest issues with her famous French home after the final episode aired.
The Channel 4 hit show aired its final episode in December as the programme came to an end after six years and nine series.
Dick and wife Angel announced in September that the ninth series would be their last and the final episode was aired with a Christmas finale which warmed the hearts of their loyal fans and left many in tears.
Following the emotional end of the series, Angel has revealed some of the biggest issues that came with their enormous property.
The telly star has admitted that the chateau gets very dirty very quickly and needs a “good clean” before every event or wedding.
"Every Friday, we all have a good clean and before every wedding or event all the windows get cleaned, but that can take a couple of days, " Angel told IdealHome.
When asked about the chores, the star hates doing in the French chateau, Angela said: "Anything in the dark. Like putting the chickens and geese to bed in the winter!"
The reality TV show saw the married couple sell their two-bedroom Essex apartment and buy a rundown 19th-century French chateau in the market town of Martigne-sur-Mayenne.
The chateau had no electricity, plumbing or heating when they embarked on their new adventure in the winter of 2016 but viewers have seen the majestic building restored to its former glory over time by the hardworking couple.
The chateau is set within 12 acres of parkland, surrounded by a serene moat and has 45 rooms over five floors to provide the perfect backdrop for a vintage wedding - there is currently a two-year waiting list.
However, with the chateau restored and their two young children - Arthur, nine, and Dorothy, eight - growing up, the couple felt it was time to stop production in a safety move for their family.
