Erling Haaland's Jadon Sancho warning ahead of Man City transfer and Premier League bow

Dimitar Berbatov is hoping Erling Haaland does not experience the same issues Jadon Sancho endured when he moved to the Premier League from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

The Norwegian international is set to make a £51million move to Manchester City on July 1 - almost a year after Sancho joined Manchester United from the same club. The latter has struggled to adapt to life in English football, scoring just five goals in 38 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Haaland joins City having struck an impeccable 86 times in 89 matches for Dortmund over the past two-and-a-half years. Pep Guardiola's side have just lifted the Premier League title but they will no doubt have one eye on the Champions League next season - a competition Haaland has scored plenty of goals in over the years.
