Erik ten Hag transfer lists 11 at Man Utd including two 'must sell' stars amid £100m demand

Manchester United will allow 11 players to leave the club this transfer window as Erik ten Hag seeks to raise over £100million in transfer fees to help transform his squad.

Ten Hag is desperate to add several high-quality additions to his ranks this summer but is aware he must slim down his squad to accommodate the players he wishes to add. Long-serving defenders Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones have already left Old Trafford at the end of their contracts.

Goalkeeper David de Gea is also expected to leave United this summer at the end of his existing deal. De Gea is out of contract and having turned down the club’s contract offer, he now appears likely to leave United as a free agent.

Dean Henderson is also likely to exit United this summer with Nottingham Forest keen to make his move to the City Ground permanent after a season-long loan spell. United could recoup around £25million in a transfer fee.

As detailed by the Manchester Evening News, defenders Alex Telles and Eric Bailly are viewed as the 'must-sells' by boss Ten Hag. The duo are returning from loan spells at Sevilla and Marseille respectively, with United hopeful of netting modest transfer fees for both.

Another defender for whom United will listen to offers is left-back Brandon Williams, who managed just one substitute appearance last season and fell down the pecking order further after last summer’s arrival of Tyrell Malacia.

United will listen to offers of £10million for academy graduate Anthony Elanga – the Sweden international started just a handful of matches last season and is not seen as having a long-term future in the first team by Ten Hag. Another youth graduate, Hannibal Mejbri, will be available for a similar asking price following a loan spell at Birmingham.

Most notably, United will welcome offers in club captain Harry Maguire alongside midfielder Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial. Those three players were signed for notable transfer fees and not insignificant wages yet none are in United’s first-team plans.

Ten Hag's side are looking for at least one new midfielder this summer. United will listen to bids of £20million for midfielder Fred amid interest from Fulham. The combative Brazilian midfielder has spent the past five seasons at Old Trafford, making 213 first-team appearances and netting 14 goals in the process.

In total, United will look to raise in excess of £100million in transfer fees for the 11 players with sizable savings in wages also desirable to allow a restructuring of the squad. A new starting goalkeeper, two strikers, a midfielder and a defender are all on Ten Hag’s radar.
