Ten Hag shares joke during press conference

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was in good spirits during his latest pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon - joking with journalists following his delayed arrival.

Ten Hag was conducting the customary pre-match formalities at Carrington as United prepare to get down to business against Leeds United tonight (8pm). However, the 53-year-old sat down late as he was dealing with a VISA procedure, and the Dutchman suggested there was a technical problem.

While the manager was explaining why he was late, chief United reporter for the Manchester Evening News, Samuel Luckhurst, was quick to joke with the him about fining himself. Since his arrival this summer, Ten Hag has insisted that players arrive on time, and has even dropped players when failing to uphold those standards.

Wan-Bissaka compared with Arsenal defender

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been compared with Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko as he continues to shine for Manchester United this season.

Having totted-up only four competitive minutes before the World Cup break, Wan-Bissaka has started the last seven Premier League games with United picking up 16 points from a possible 21 in those matches. In fact, their solitary defeat in that sequence came against the table-topping Gunners.

Wan-Bissaka will now go toe-to-toe with fit-again Diogo Dalot for a regular place in the United line-up. As for Zinchenko, meanwhile, he has been a major reason for Arsenal putting together a charge for the title this term following his summer transfer from Manchester City.
