Erik ten Hag has been reassured the Glazer family's sale of Manchester United will not have a negative impact on his transfer budget.
The Glazers, who have been the custodians of the club for nearly two decades, are hoping to pocket nearly £8billion from the sale. The Americans have been heavily criticised for their ownership of United since legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
Outgoing owners can be reluctant to invest in clubs while a takeover is in progress, yet Ten Hag's fears have been eased after talks with chief executive Richard Arnold. The Dutchman spent more than £200million on new players during the previous transfer window.
"My information is that it will only be good things because there will be more investment possible which is good," said Ten Hag.
"I have not talked with the owners about this issue but Richard told me and we spoke about the culture we want we spoke about objectives, goals and that culture. He confirmed it won’t change. In fact it will be even better because more money will become available for this project."
The Glazers have not been afraid to splash the cash during their ownership of United. The likes of Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Romelu Lukaku, Jadon Sancho and Antony have all been signed for huge transfer fees in recent years.

Yet the American family have also profited significantly from United's commercial success. A report in September claimed £132m has been taken out in dividends since the Glazers took control of the club in 2005 - with much of that money going in their back pockets.
The Glazers have also failed to renovate Old Trafford and United's Carrington training base in recent years. The likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City all have better facilities than the Red Devils - which impacts their ability to attract players.
As a result, United have struggled to be successful on the pitch. They've not won a major trophy since May 2017 and finished sixth in the Premier League last season. They've won just three major honours since lifting their most recent league title in May 2013.
United's poor facilities were highlighted by Cristiano Ronaldo in his sensational interview with Piers Morgan last month, in which he claimed the Glazers don't care about United's success. The Portugal international also took aim at manager Ten Hag.
Ronaldo left United by mutual consent shortly after that interview, with Ten Hag expected to sign a new striker in January. The United boss has stressed the importance of continuously investing in the squad to challenge the Premier League's best teams.
Ten Hag added: "I look at the competition around the Premier League they all have the opportunity to invest, it’s a tough competition between seven or eight clubs. That’s a change in circumstances when you compare with five or 10 years ago so the competition is much tougher."
