In the 21st edition of the event, schoolchildren took part in a day of learning about literacy and numeracy skills as well as tennis with more than 75,000 juniors being introduced to the spot. The aim was part of the organisers' commitment to benefit future generations as well as promoting their focus on mental health and tackling obesity.
Throughout the years, the likes of Emma Raducanu, who won the US Open as an 18-year-old in 2021, 23-time Grand Slam-winner Djokovic, Caroline Wozniacki and Eugenie Bouchard have stepped foot in the grass court competition which takes place at Liverpool Cricket Club.
"It’s been a fantastic event and great to see two thrilling finals; we wish Enzo the best of luck as he goes on to compete in this year’s Wimbledon," a spokesperson said.
"It was equally brilliant to see so many young children enjoy our tennis and other activities; for many it was their first time picking up a racquet – who knows, some of them may come back here in years to come to win their own trophies."
