'Entitled' driver parks over two spaces and leaves note defending decision

A driver parked across two spaces then taped a note to the windscreen explaining why.

The motor was spotted straddling the bays with the note attached and the driver seemingly justifying themselves following earlier criticism.

Defending the dodgy parking decision, the car owner pointed out: "The reason I park in two spaces is because someone hit my car and drove off costing me £500 to get it repaired. So do not leave a note on my window. How would you like it done to you."

The note was shared on Reddit and users had little sympathy for the driver, the Mirror reports.

Evidently amused by the find, the post's author said: "Note on the dash did not disappoint."

However, they were not the only one to have a similar reaction.

The exchange delighted Reddit users, and the post has amassed over 300 replies debating the matter. But few appeared to take the driver's side. Instead, commenters were quick to slam their parking. Meanwhile, others mocked the note.

"If it's ok for one, it's ok for all, then the number of spaces is halved, sure they wouldn't be happy about that," someone suggested.

"No you don't understand, it's only ok if you've been crashed into in the past," another quipped.

A third person thought: "I'd be especially inclined to leave a note. Putting it next to their note so it's obvious I knew."

Offering a suggestion, a different person added: "Maybe if you parked better, people wouldn't hit your car."

Another person commented: "Idiot thinks one instance of bad luck now entitles them to two spaces."
