Sinha said that this is of utmost importance in order to strengthen the level of disaster preparedness in Uttarakhand.

Besides, he also ordered the transport department to ensure that all the field vehicles of government departments be installed with GPS.

Along with preparing disaster management plans, the government departments were asked to set up disaster control rooms or disaster management cells, which will soon be inspected by the disaster management department.

The instructions were given during the review meeting of nodal officers in disaster management of all departments and agencies concerned, including NDRF, SDRF, Army, health department, tourism department, etc.
