England stars are facing a TV blackout for the under-21 Championships this summer.
UEFA will stream England games through their website but fans will not be able to watch on television and it is unprecedented not to have a broadcast deal in place. England kick off their campaign against Czech Republic on Thursday and the players are also likely to be frustrated that the games will not be shown.
Premier League stars like Morgan Gibbs-White, Emile Smith Rowe, Anthony Gordon, Oliver Skipp and Liverpool duo Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones were all named in Lee Carsley’s squad. Sky showed the tournament in 2021 but did not bid this time while the BBC also decided not to screen it.
