Emre Can breaks into smile when asked about Liverpool win against Man United

Emre Can has insisted it is 'special' that Liverpool beat Manchester United 7-0 in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday evening.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder spent four years with the Reds after transferring from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014. Can went on to make 115 appearances before leaving for Juventus on a free in 2018.

German international Can will be part of the Dortmund team that will look to beat Chelsea to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Can was the Dortmund player to face the media on Monday night in a press conference at Stamford Bridge as he was asked about his former sides thumping win.

"It’s amazing when I see the result, of course I’m always looking to Liverpool," Can said. "Of course it’s special to win against Man United 7-0. It’s amazing. I can imagine, there in the city, it’s a lot of fun now!”

Liverpool's huge victory over United saw them move above Newcastle into fifth in the league and now just three points behind Tottenham in fourth with a game in hand.
