Leeds United completed a dramatic final day relegation escape act with a 2-1 victory over Brentford to secure their place in next season's Premier League. The Whites kicked-off this afternoon in the relegation zone on goal difference knowing they had to better Burnley's result at home to Newcastle United - which they did as Eddie Howe's side won 2-1 at Turf Moor.
Goals from Raphinha and Jack Harrison won the game for Jesse Marsch's side to secure their top-flight status for a third straight season, whilst causing havoc in the away end in London.
Despite Burnley's resurgence under Mike Jackson, the Clarets couldn't rescue themselves from the drop after Sean Dyche's sacking. Callum Wilson scored either side of the break for the Magpies, with Maxwell Cornet's consolation not enough.
