Emmerdale is about to get a new character, and many viewers will likely recognise him.
The Sharma family are set to be taken aback when an unexpected visitor turns up ahead of Jai and Laurel's wedding. Jai's cousin Suni will arrive and soap fans will quickly become aware that Rishi has not seen his nephew for some time.
Rishi is pleased, while also hoping Suni's arrival can help mend his relationship with Jai, who has just found out he was adopted at birth.

Things have been awkward with Jai who is still not speaking to Rishi, as he’s understandably furious he kept the secret of his adoption from him. And with Rishi unable to admit who Jai's real father is, all reconciliation attempts have come to a standstill.
Executive Producer Jane Hudson told the ECHO: ”Suni arrives just in time for the wedding of his cousin Jai to Laurel but it’s Nicky who soon is making the most of his arrival."
Suni will be played by Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana, who telly fans may recognise from ITV's The Bay. Brahmdeo appeared for four episodes of the gritty crime show as Saif Rahman.
He has also starred in Enola Holmes 2, and is known for his online sketches across social media platforms.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX
