Emmerdale fans think a past character will be revealed as Nicky Miligan's mother on the ITV soap, with the show yet to confirm her identity.
After speculation that it will be a familiar face, a new clue may have given it all away according to viewers.
Nicky lied months ago that his mum had died when he was a teenager, with him saying his dad wasn't really around in the fallout.
On Thursday night it was revealed he was the son of Caleb Miligan, and his mother was very much alive and well.
Caleb is no longer with his wife, while neither he or Nicky revealed who she was or her name.
That didn't stop fans being convinced a past character was Nicky's mother, after the reveal that Caleb is the secret son of Frank Tate.
From Tina Dingle to Sadie King and even Kerry Wyatt, fans started guessing who she might be.
It's not confirmed that we already know the character or that she has been on the show before, so she might be an entirely new character.
But as Nicky's surname was finally revealed on Friday night, fans began to speculate that his mother was a character who appeared on the soap last year.
They recalled a character with the same surname featuring in scenes in 2022, while the surname was spelled slightly differently.
Nicky hasn't had a surname since his arrival in December, and it was only during Friday's episode after the Caleb reveal that fans realised he was a Miligan.
This is the original surname of Caleb's late mother Faith, before she became Faith Dingle.
Someone else who shares that surname, while it carries an extra 'l', is killer Meena Jutla's barrister, Defence Barrister Milligan.
Played by actress Amy Robbins, the character featured in scenes before and during killer Meena's trial last year.
It would be quite a twist if the character happened to be Nicky's mum, especially with the surname spelled differently, but it hasn't stopped fans thinking it is a possibility.
After all, Caleb managed to get his nephew Kyle Winchester 'the best' legal help when he accidentally killed Al Chapman.
So could the surname and the legal link be enough for the former character to possibly be Caleb's ex?
Fans certainly think so, with one tweeting: "Is Nicky's mum the Defence Barrister Milligan (Amy Robbins) from Meena's court plea hearing? Is that how Caleb was able to help Kyle with legal stuff?"
Another viewer commented: "His wife is Meena's barrister whose surname is also Milligan."
A third fan said: "I think Nicky's mum is Meena's barrister."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
