Emmerdale viewers have predicted a sinister fate for one of the characters of the ITV soap after a dramatic confrontation on Monday night’s episode.
Soap fans have suggested that either Cain Dingle or Al Chapman could be murdered in upcoming episodes after ITV bosses revealed their feud will come to a head.
Cain and Al’s animosity reared its ugly head at the end of Monday evening’s instalment, as the two faced over in the pub, before Cain was forced to leave by his sister Lydia.
But Al followed Cain outside and couldn’t resist stirring the pot after Cain had hung up on Lydia amid promises he had left the pub.
Al said: “Promises promises,” before adding: “You keep plugging away at it, don’t you?
“You know it’s funny, the more you keep trying to derail my life, the better it gets. Come on Cain, don’t let it get to you.
“I’m just glad that Belle finally sees you for who you are. I wonder who’s next?”
Chas, overhearing the spat, snarled back: “Look at yourself. For God’s sake Cain this has to end before it goes too far.
“I don’t care about Al but if you keep pushing and pushing each other like this, sooner or later one of you is going to end up in a body bag.”
Cain replied: “Let’s just hope it’s not me.”
ITV fans were left thunderstruck by the moment, with many pointing to it as evidence of an upcoming death on the Dales.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Cain and Al's feud is ridiculous, it really is. I can see one of these two ended up hurt.”
A second said: “This is all gonna end in tears, I just know it. Cain and Al really need to pack in before someone gets hurt.”
Another added: “I honestly can't stand this storyline between Cain and Al. This can only end up one way…”
Another fan predicted a “Caine vs Al punch up”, while a fellow fan wrote: “This Cain and Al feud better end in a death considering how tedious it has been.”
One soap watcher predicted: “Another murder on it's way.”
Another concluded: “Chas has just basically foreshadowed Al's death in that scene with both Al/Cain, their rivalry will go too far!”
Elsewhere on the Dales on Monday, Marlon finally returned home after suffering a debilitating stroke, which saw him rushed to hospital.
Since then, it has been a long uphill battle for Marlon as he struggles with the new challenges he faces, including his difficulty in forming simple words.
But ITV spoilers have revealed that while Marlon has made remarkable progress, his return home won't be smooth sailing as daughter April struggles to adjust.
