Emmerdale viewers have accused Mack of ‘sexism’ after his reaction to the gender of his unborn child. Mack will soon become a dad as Chloe is carrying his child.
During Monday’s episode of the ITV hit soap Mack was struggling to hide his baby secret from his bride-to-be, Charity.
Mack bumped into Chloe at the Hide and she let slip the information that the baby is a boy. Mack was beaming with joy when he found out the gender of his unborn child and after his reaction Chloe asked if he wanted to feel the baby kick he seemed quite overcome.
The pair seemed to share a special moment together however when he met up with Nate at the pub he pretended not to care as he said “It wasn’t a big deal.”
Nate expressed his concerns about Mack keeping his secret on the low as he was worried about Charity’s reaction if and when she finds out that her fiancé was unfaithful straight after she lost her own baby.
To make things worse Chloe was living under their roof and Nate knew that things wouldn’t end well for Mack.
Viewers at home where quick to slam the “cringe” storyline as they accused Mack of ‘sexism’ after his reaction to the gender of his baby.
@MeeshyJay Tweeted: “Mack is a piece of work. All of a sudden he’s interested in the baby because he’s just found out it’s a boy #emmerdale.”
@MattZeeMiller asked: “Why is he soooo ott over it being a baby boy???? That means if it was a girl would he be totally not interested???? #Emmerdale.”
@fussyMcWhiskers said: “#Emmerdale Does that mean that Mack would have told Chloe to get lost if she was expecting a girl?”
@KerryFr14902535 wrote: “I take it Mack always wanted a son...#emmerdale.” @Calzonafan2013 Tweeted: “Three more weeks until Mack’s secret is finally out and we can finally get to the point of this stupidity. #Emmerdale.”
@TVMusings22 commented: “Cringe scene with Mack and Chloe #Emmerdale.” While @EastieOaks added: “I am finding this storyline more and more boring as it goes on #Emmerdale As much as we don't like Mackenzie, he's wanted to come clean and be honest time and time again since the start of this plot. He's also been convinced by everyone that knows to lie constantly."
