Emmerdale will soon air another special episode as part of Paddy Dingle’s mental health journey.
Dominic Brunt, 53, who plays soap icon Paddy Dingle, has received lots of praise in recent weeks for his work highlighting men’s mental health issues. Emmerdale dedicated a special episode focused on some of the village’s male characters opening up about the challenges they faced.
It is hoped the storyline may encourage some male viewers to do the same. Discussing the storyline, as reported by Digital Spy, Emmerdale’s executive producer Jane Hudson told fans another special episode focused on Paddy will soon air.

The Emmerdale edition is described as being a ‘journey to recovery’ with ‘real honesty and truth’. Jane said: “It’s continuing that story about being a man who doesn’t find it easy to talk, men who don’t find it easy to talk, and the help that’s out there and the support you can get.”
In recent weeks, Emmerdale fans have seen Paddy get close to ex Mandy with them wondering if they may get back together. Discussing the rumours, Jane said: “We know Paddy and Mandy have a history, we know that they’ve had a more recent history again, but is Paddy ready for a relationship?

“And if he is, is Mandy the person to start that relationship with? I think there’s plenty to watch with Paddy as he continues his journey.”
