Emmerdale stars came together for a special event in Leeds to support the vital work of Maggie’s Yorkshire.
On Saturday, many cast members from the ITV soap took part in a 5km walking challenge at Roundhay Park. The festivities raised money for cancer charity Maggie’s Yorkshire.
The organisation supports anyone living with cancer with free psychological, social and practical support. Lisa Riley, known to millions as Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, on Twitter, said: “Wow, wow to all our beautiful @emmerdale gang. Turning up at Roundhay Park supporting my charity @maggiesyorks.

“We had the most gorgeous walk, just look at how many cast members turned up. Truly blown away. Bringing such awareness to such an important cause! Honestly, love you all.”
Maggie’s Yorkshire is based in the grounds of St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, and opened in November 2019. The team includes cancer support specialists, a psychologist, and benefits advisors.
Amy Elver, of Maggie's Yorkshire, said: "We were blown away by the support shown for our first Walk for Maggie's event. It was a great opportunity for the Maggie's community to come together to raise vital funds and awareness. Our aim is that everyone across Yorkshire knows where to come for cancer support."
