Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has made an admission on her show future.
The soap star has played Vanessa Woodfield in the ITV show since 2012. The character arrived on the soap to work as a locum at Rhona Ghoskirk's veterinary surgery.
She has since endured a turbulent time on the village as she was held hostage by murderer Pierce Harris, gave birth to a son after a one-night stand and battled bowel cancer. Her character moved out of the Dales last year after she accepted a job in Canada.

Michelle has taken time away from Emmerdale as part of her maternity leave as welcomed her second child into the world last year. She was in attendance at the British Soap Awards and revealed her time away from Emmerdale is just temporary.
She told Metro: "I'm definitely going back!' I've not got a date as such, it'll be later in the year at some point, but definitely I'll be back!"
Away from the village, Michelle is happily married to show producer Kate Brooks .Kate hails from Merseyside and they are the proud parents of two children.
Michelle welcomed her first son into the world named Teddy in 2020. She went on maternity leave in 2020 before she returned to the show in 2021.
