Emmerdale spoilers: Dead body discovery leaves characters conflicted and forced to lie

Emmerdale will be rocked by the discovery of a dead body tonight - as it leaves two characters conflicted and forced to lie.

Bob and Bernice have just acquired the village's bed and breakfast and are ready to launch it this evening, having listed the skills of a harpist to wow the audience at the glitzy event. However, things soon take a turn when it's revealed that he has died - and Bob and Bernice are forced to decide whether they should call the police or keep the death hidden.

Now, actor Tony Audenshaw has teased there could be a cover up in store as Bernice and Bob are forced to lie.

The entrepreneurial duo are keen to get their B&B off to a good start and have planned a huge launch. However, Bob is left panicking when he unsuccessfully goes looking for Bernice, only to find out she has been upstairs with the harpist.

However, when the event gets underway, Tim the harpist is nowhere to be seen - and as Bob goes to check on what's keeping him, he's shocked to find him dead whilst all the guests party downstairs.

Concerned on what the best thing to do is, Bob goes to get Bernice and they have a big decision to make.

"Bob goes upstairs to check up on Tim and finds him dead in the room, with the guests all downstairs. He goes and gets Bernice and explains what's going on. They've got a dead harpist on their hands, but what do they do? Do they call the police? Do they move the body? They don't know what to do for the best. Bob is completely perplexed by it," Tony explained.

"Bob sends Bernice downstairs to clear the guests so they can call for help, but he's waiting for ages. It turns out that Bernice hasn't done anything to resolve the situation. Bob goes back down and there's this journalist there from the local paper. People are enjoying themselves, drinking and having a good time. Bernice has just got carried away with the moment of it all!"

Tony also shared his joy at getting to work alongside Samantha Giles, and he loves being a "double act".

He added: "I'm really enjoying it. Obviously I've known Sam for a long time and we've had the odd bits and pieces together, but it's been great to work as a double act. It started last year with the storm storyline, when we had all the clean-up in the village together. There was a bit of a comedy dynamic going on then – and Sam is great to work with."
