Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary is in October this year and actor Lucy Pargeter fears her character could be in trouble before the big day arrives.
She plays Chas Dingle in the ITV soap.
Fans will know Chas has recently sold The Woolpack pub to new owners, after she put it up for auction as part of a storyline.

It means Chas and Marlon (Mark Charnock) face uncertain futures in the drama.
The Woolpack's sale
Emmerdale fans will know that the past few months have seen trouble with The Woolpack and its owners Chas and Marlon Dingle.
There was a point where they went into joint ownership with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) and The Woolpack caught fire over the Christmas season.
So it’s safe to say that both The Woolpack and their owners have been through it recently.
Maybe this new ownership presents hope for the pub. But what about hope for Chas Dingle?
Will Emmerdale kill off Chas Dingle?
Lucy Pargeter spoke to The Daily Mirror and said soap cast members get worried when big anniversaries come around.
Apparently, it can be tempting for show bosses to kill someone off to come up with a suitably dramatic storyline.
‘’It’s always unnerving when we’ve got big storylines coming up," Lucy said. "Or events like the 50th anniversary this year.
"I immediately think, 'Oh God, they’re going to have to do something big for the 50th. Do they need to kill off a long-standing character in a spectacular way? Is that my exit?'
The actor also spoke about her reaction to finding out she would no longer own The Woolpack.
"It was upsetting and unsettling, not only for my character, but for me too. I wondered, 'well, what’s my role in the village now? What else can I do?'. It was gutting and made me feel even more insecure about my job."
Giving further insight into what the 50th anniversary of Emmerdale has in store later this year, Lucy shared: ‘’We’re going to be having a golden month of celebration to mark our 50th. There are going to be mind-blowing stunts, more heartbreaks, secrets and lies are revealed, it’s going to be the gift that keeps on giving and the party no one wants to end.’’
