Emmerdale viewers were left disappointed at Chas’s ‘big announcement’ as Vinny struggled to come to terms with the fact his wife is dead.
It’s been a week since Liv’s funeral and husband Vinny is still suffering from his loss. Liv fell victim to the deadly storm that also took the life of police officer Harriet. She has a joint funeral with Faith Dingle, who took her own life following her battle with terminal cancer.
During tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Vinny continued to struggle with the loss of his wife. With the help of Chas they picked up her ashes but he was unsure of where to spread them.
At the start of the show viewers were told that Chas was going to make a ‘big announcement.’ Chas has been cheating on fan favourite Paddy with village bad boy Al. However it all came to an end after 10-year-old Kyle shot him.
Protecting his son, Cain took the blame and is serving life in jail as only a handful of people know that Kyle is the real killer and Chas is not one of them.
Chas has remained tight lipped about her affair but viewers thought her announcement was going to be a confession however she revealed that Faith didn’t actually want her ashes to be spread, but instead turned into a firework.
Vinny decided to keep hold of her ashes for a little while longer as was comforted by Chip the dog. Viewers were not impressed at Chas's announcement as they expected something more dramatic.
@Surfingspaniel Tweeted: “#emmerdale. So was that it, the big announcement was Chas saying that Faith was going up in a rocket.”
@Matt528chap commented: “The only firework I want to see Chas is your affair exposed to the entire world!” @lcsm99 fumed: "Chas announcement wasn’t much of an announcement now was it?” @rileymscott wrote: “BORING that wasn’t an announcement.”
@Hussain123Heena asked: “#Emmerdale Chas made an announcement?” While @itzzzo_ added: “No one gives a s*** about Chas’ announcement unless it is that she’s leaving of course. #Emmerdale”
