Emmerdale fans slam 'dramatic' Dawn as Billy 'compares her' to evil killer Meena

Emmerdale's Billy Fletcher faced the wrath of his fiancée Dawn Taylor as he appeared to compare her to serial killer Meena Jutla.

The village resident left his wife-to-be questioning her future with him after he brought up evil police officer Malone, who Dawn killed in self-defence two years ago, and mentioned Meena's murderous reign.

In scenes airing on tonight's show, Billy was sat by the window as he watched the street outside, worried Meena might reappear.

But they got in a heated row after Dawn got frustrated at Billy for his actions and it was then he brought up Malone, who Dawn had seen the end of as she tried to defend herself back in 2020.

Dawn was fuming (ITV)

Billy was fuming as he said how Meena had manipulated him for months and it lead to an angry exchange with Dawn, as she took what he said the wrong way and believed Billy was comparing her to evil Meena.

Fans took to social media to criticise Dawn for being overdramatic.

"Oh shut up Dawn, you should know there's a massive difference between you and Meena. Just another happy day in Emmerdale," one wrote, as a second added: "Slight overreaction from Dawn there."

A third shared: "Oh my god could Dawn be any more self absorbed."

"Meena was literally a serial killer who killed for fun you didn't kill Malone for fun Dawn, it's not the same," a fourth wrote.

Billy and Dawn are no doubt set for more heartache later in the year as disaster strikes the day of their wedding.

Billy and Dawn recently got engaged (ITV)

"We've already seen Billy and Dawn get engaged on screen and I don't think I'm giving too much away by telling you that their wedding is definitely going to happen this year," producers teased to The Mirror and other press.

"It does happen on the most romantic day of the year – Valentine's Day – so there's not too long to wait for their wedding. But will it all go to plan? Is it going to be happy-ever-after for these two or will disaster strike? I suspect it's probably going to be the latter."
