Emmerdale fans have been left heartbroken following callous Al Chapman’s latest sinister move in the battle for The Woolpack’s future.
As Emmerdale fans know it has been a very difficult time for the Woolie. The venue suffered financial difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic.
This led to investment from Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, although the money didn’t come without consequences. Owners Dingle cousins Chas and Marlon needed to enlist financial support from someone else to keep the business afloat.

It soon became clear Al wasn’t interested in making a success of the pub but instead he had other plans with the businessman intent on seeing the business suffer.
At Christmas, Al was behind a fire at the pub aimed to further propel his scheme to see cousins Chas and Marlon Dingle completely sell up.

Now left with little choice, Chas agrees to sign the papers Al has drafted up, giving him ownership of the pub.
In Wednesday’s episode, Al was pushing for the Woolie to be signed over. This led to Chas and partner Paddy making a heartbreaking discovery.
Paddy said: “Why didn’t you tell us that the building extends right across the beer garden?”
Chas, horrified at the thought of building over their deceased child Grace’s memorial, Chas berated Al for withholding the information.
Although, Al continued to put pressure on Chas, Paddy and Marlon.
