Emmerdale fans have been sharing their theories as to who is trolling Amelia Spencer after scenes in Monday (May 23) night's episode saw the teens body image woes worsen after being sent nasty comments on social media. ITV viewers have slowly seen Amelia, played by Daisy Campbell, more concerned about her looks in recent months.
She has been spending more time on social media and is seemingly becoming influenced by what she is seeing online. Since becoming a babysitter for Gabby Thomas' baby son Thomas Tate, she has been using her wages to buy gym clothing which she asked Gabby if she could get delivered to Home Farm.
In scenes from last night, Amelia was seen trying on a new gym set and taking photographs in Home Farm, the Mirror reports. Gabby offered to take a full length photograph of her and immediately posted it to social media. But Amelia was distressed the image had gone online because she was not wearing any make up and looked "skinny".

Later in the episode, Cathy Hope came into the café and told Amelia her post was getting a lot of likes on social media. Initially Amelia seemed excited at the news, but after reading some of the comments, noticed there was someone leaving nasty comments on the picture.
Cathy asked who was behind the comments before Amelia explained: "I don't know, he's called Buffboy44 and he says: 'I look too bony and ill'." Despite Cathy telling Amelia to "just ignore it", once Cathy left the café, Amelia was seen deleting the post entirely.
Emmerdale fans already have their suspicions that Cathy could be behind the trolling, as it wasn't too long ago that she was found to be bullying April Windsor online. Charlotte tweeted "Is Cathy trolling Amelia now? #Emmerdale." @FLady1980 added: "#emmerdale Amelia don't trust Cathy around phones."
Another soap fan, Garry Enfield, wrote: "A troll, it must be Cathy." But other fans had another person in mind. Grianne Doherty said: "Not Cathy yet again seriously? Either her or Noah, knowing him. ******* little creep that he is, really wouldn't put it past either of them to be fair #Emmerdale."
Another fan - Sophie - agreed. She said: "I bet Noah is the troll #Emmerdale".
Fan also shared their concern for Amelia, with Ryan tweeting: "I'm worried about this new storyline for Amelia." Mike added: "Amelia is a lovely girl… she doesn’t need to change anything. #Emmerdale."
Emmerdale continues weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 7.30pm.
