Emmerdale fans believe they have worked out how villain Sandra Flaherty could see her comeuppance on the ITV soap after she revealed her poisonous plan against daughter Liv.
There is trouble on the way for Liv and Vinny in Emmerdale as Liv's mum Sandra continued to stir the pot on Tuesday’s episode, in an attempt to split the loved-up pair.
Sandra targeted Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap, amid her cruel plan against her own daughter Liv, which she laid bare as an attempt to steal all her money and tear apart their marriage in the process.
On Tuesday evening, scheming Sandra set about trying to make Liv believe there could be something going on between her husband and her best friend Gabby Thomas.
Sandra even went as far as to question Liv’s asexuality, leaving her daughter on edge and questioning her relationship with Vinny, while Sandra relishes in how well her ploy is coming together.
Knowing that her plan is working, Sandra tells Gabby that the couple are having issues, which leads to Gabby turning up to chat through it with Vinny – only amplifying Liv's doubts.
While it’s unclear whether Sandra will be caught before she causes permanent damage to her daughter’s relationship, Emmerdale fans now think her downfall is only weeks away.
We are gearing up for a special time in Emmerdale as the show is celebrating its milestone 50th anniversary later this year.
As part of the celebrations, the village is set to be hit by a deadly storm that will see life in the Dales changed forever.
Taking to Twitter, one fan speculated: “Please, please, PLEASE kill Sandra off in the storm. Would be nice if we got to laugh at a villain dying for a change.”
However, other fans guessed that the return of Liv's brother Aaron Dingle as part of the anniversary episodes could prove to be Sandra’s undoing.
One tweeted: “Why is Sandra still here. What a horrible mother. Aaron needs to come back and sort her out. Jeez,” as another echoed: “Sandra when Aaron comes back, run.”
Perhaps Aaron could be the one to expose Sandra, as he returns to the ITV soap in October alongside characters Diane Sugden and Tracy Metcalfe for storylines later this year.
Other fans expressed outrage at Sandra’s plan to steal her daughters money, with one writing: “So ripping Liv off isn't enough. What is Sandra playing at now? Sandra has sunk to a new low, but is she really trying to split Liv & Vinny up? Why? What a sorry excuse for a mother, she isn't right in the head.”
Another chimed: “Sandra is the worst parent ever doing this to her own daughter. The writers seem to love these vile, depraved characters since they seem to have so many in the village.”
