Emmerdale will air a character return next week on the ITV soap, as Meena Jutla's trial begins.
Fans will see Carol, the sister of Meen'a first murder victim Nadine, make a reappearance as village residents await the verdict.
It hasn't been revealed in spoilers that Carol will be back, but new images for next week's episodes show the character sat with others as Meena takes to the stand.
While fans might have expected Carol to be there given Meena is facing charges for Nadine's death, the pictures now confirm she will make a brief comeback to see Meena on trial.
Whether justice will finally be served for her and the others remains to be seen, with it teased that the verdict could go either way.
Like Carol, Leanna Cavanagh's father Liam and Andrea Tate's ex Charles Anderson will also be in court to see whether Meena will be found guilty for their murders - while Meena also killed Ben Tucker.
Meena faces a long list of charges, including attempted murder and kidnap on top of her killings, while tampered evidence has given the police a difficult time proving her guilt.
It's up to the jury during the trial next week, as witnesses take to the stand, to decide whether she is guilty or not.
That said, there's set to be a final confession from Meena that could leave her sister Manpreet Sharma scarred for the rest of her life.
Actress Rebecca Sarker said: "Absolutely, it's a long road. It will be a long road to recovery, if at all."
On the final twisted bombshell, she added: "Meena has one more horrible, horrifying confession to make.
"One that of all of the terrible crimes, this might have the potential to plague Manpreet for the rest of her life. I will say it is a crime that is very, very, very close to home."
