Former US Open champion Emma Raducanu recently revealed that she will be making changes to her tournament scheduling following her disappointing first-round defeat at the Qatar Open. The 21-year-old tennis star, who had a phenomenal 2021 season with a US Open triumph, faced a significant dip in form and subsequent injury setbacks in 2023.
Raducanu endured a challenging season on the sidelines after undergoing wrist and ankle surgeries, which forced her to miss eight months of competition. Her return to the tour last month has been less than ideal, with early exits at tournaments in Auckland, the Australian Open, and Abu Dhabi. Her most recent defeat came at the hands of Anhelina Kalinina, the world No. 30, in Doha, where Raducanu lost 6-0, 7-6(6).
