Emily Blunt made a heartwarming gesture to celebrate her father's birthday by bringing him to the 2024 Oscars. The actress, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 96th Academy Awards, attended the ceremony with her parents Oliver and Joanna, along with her husband John Krasinski. Despite not winning the award, Blunt was seen enjoying the red carpet moments with her family.

In a previous interview, Blunt mentioned that her parents were keen on attending the Oscars with her, especially since it coincided with her father's birthday weekend. Emily, the second of four children of Oliver and Joanna, comes from a family background where her mother was a former actress and English teacher, while her father is a lawyer based in London.
