Emily Atack's fans rally around star after claims she is using weight loss jabs

Emily Atack’s fans have rushed to her defence after her latest Instagram photo carousel attracted claims she was using weight loss jabs.

The Rivals actress, 36, uploaded wholesome photos from her Christmas celebrations - and Atack looked sensational in the photos.

She captioned the snaps, which included lots of photos of friends at dinner: “Christmas - a small selection of some fave outfits and beautifully busy tables that give me heartburn just looking at them.”

In one pic, she wore a white crop top and black sequin top, in another, she wore skinny jeans and a red striped top, and she also uploaded another snap in a glamorous multi-coloured faux fur coat.

But a few comments questioned if Atack was using weight- loss jabs - something fans rushed to defend her over.

“These comments! Aren't we over talking about women's bodies?” one fan added.

“It’s amazing that she's posted a whole reel of lovely Xmas photos and 80% of the comments are about her body,” another penned.

“The thing is, women can't win. We are either too fat or too skinny. While I appreciate you admiring her a bit larger, her size or any woman's size is not for public comment. Let's just say she is stunning,” another added.

A representative for Atack has been contacted for comment.

Last week, it was reported the presenter is top of the list to front a revival of Blind Date.

After 22 years off air, the dating show is set to return to screens on Disney+ - and Rivals actress, Atack, 36, is said to have impressed bosses.

“Execs want someone youthful, fun, glamorous but also relatable to the youngsters who’ll form the bulk of the contestants,” a source told The Sun.

Emily has always been candid about her own rollercoaster love life, before eventually finding the right man and settling down with a family.

“She’d be an inspiration to many of the people looking for love and happiness, but also a famous face that many people view as someone they could relate to.”

Blind Date ran on screens from 1985 - 2003, fronted by the late Cilla Black, and the paper reports Atack has links to Black, as her mum, entertainer Kate Robbins, provided the voice for Black’s puppet on satire show Spitting Image and wrote the theme tune to Black’s Surprise! Surprise!

Filming for the new show is set to happen in the New Year.

Atack started dating nuclear scientist fiancé Alistair Garner in 2023, and they share 18-month-old son Barney.

In October 2024, Emily spoke about being terrible at diets and going to the gym, several months after giving birth to their son.

She said at the time: “I’m a mum, I’ve got rolly bits, and I’m healthy, feeling sexier than ever and playing a bombshell in an amazing series.

“In my teens, all I wanted was to be a size eight or 10.

“Our value is always depending on what size we are, and it just shouldn’t be that way.

“I’ve always been terrible at diets and I’m terrible at going to the gym. I forced myself to do it more for my mental health.

“I’ve realised that you’re never going to please everybody, so I wish I could say to my 16-year-old self, to just be healthy and happy, and that you can be sexy and beautiful in so many ways.”
