Emily Atack’s aunt has reportedly landed a role in Coronation Street after her mum was on EastEnders last year.
Amy Robbins, who is Emily’s mum Kate Robbins’ younger sister, is said to be set to make her debut on the cobbles of Weatherfield in January.
Amy will reportedly appear in Walford as Christine, the mother of Rovers Return barmaid Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan.
A soap insider said: “Christine’s arrival will shake things up. It’s a great part and one Amy could not turn down.
“Being able to star in Coronation Street is a huge deal for any actor or actress in the industry.
They added to The Sun : “Though her character will initially only appear for a couple of months, there’s a good chance she may return as the mother-and-daughter story develops.”
Amy has already racked up stints on Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, as well as Doctors and EastEnders.
The Celebrity Juice star’s mum Kate appeared in Albert Square last year as music agent Jen Glover, who took a shine to Billy Mitchell.
This comes after former Coronation Street star Rhea Bailey left soap fans eagerly anticipating a return for her character after she teased a set visit to the ITV soap.
The 39-year-old, who starred as Caz Hammond for two years after joining the soap in 2015, took to Instagram to share a series of snaps from the Weatherfield set with her family.
Rhea, who was also a favourite on ITV police series The Bill as PC Mel Ryder, visited Coronation Street with her Overtones singer husband Dan Everest and their baby daughter.
The trio posed for snaps outside the Rovers Return pub, The Kabin store and Roy's Rolls café, before Dan and his band performed a live concert, which was broadcast on Smooth Radio.
Taking to the Instagram caption, she teased: “Looks who’s back?!?” before adding: “I'm just playing. Nobody panic! Lovely evening on the cobbles!
“Thanks @smoothradio @the_overtones @coronationstreet Miss you guys! Felt special to be back where it all started! Without this job, we may never have met!!… think Caz is still serving time somewhere!”
Coronation Street fans were left begging for Rhea – the sister of singer Corrine Bailey Rae – to make a permanent return to the soap, with one commenting: "Think you ought to be back in it x."
Another wrote: "BRING BACK CAZ!!!! and please tell me Curly is still alive..." While a third simply said: "LOVE THIS."
Husband Dan also got in on the act, adding: "Bring Caz back @coronationstreet."
