Emile Smith Rowe has revealed that Gabriel Jesus has surprised him since signing for Arsenal earlier this summer.

football.london revealed earlier this year that technical director Edu had held talks with Jesus' representatives, and the Brazilian international sealed a £45 million transfer to the Gunners last month. Since then, the 25-year-old has netted seven times in pre-season, including a hattrick against La Liga outfit Sevilla on Saturday afternoon.

Now, Smith Rowe has heaped praise on his new teammate, admitting that he didn't realise just how good the clinical striker was. Speaking to Five, the English midfielder said: "The players that have come back [from last season], I already know how good they are, so it's not a surprise to see how good they are and how well they are doing.
