Emergency Workers Scramble To Free Trapped Individuals In Argentina Collapse

Residencial building collapsed in Havana

Emergency workers are currently engaged in a rescue operation following the collapse of the 10-story Dubrovnik hotel in Villa Gessell, Argentina. The incident, which occurred early on Tuesday morning, has left up to nine individuals trapped under the rubble.

Located approximately 230 miles from Buenos Aires on the Atlantic coast, the hotel collapse has prompted a swift response from firefighters, paramedics, and police. These rescue teams are diligently working to clear debris and reach those believed to be buried beneath the wreckage.

Among the missing individuals are workers from a construction site at the hotel. Reports suggest that the construction was being carried out without proper adherence to municipal regulations, with the site operating clandestinely.

The hotel, established in 1986, was in the midst of undergoing various renovations and modifications at the time of the collapse. Municipal authorities had previously intervened in August, halting work due to the lack of necessary permissions for the construction activities.

Efforts are underway to establish contact with the responsible parties involved in the building's renovation to gather further insights into the circumstances leading up to the tragic incident.
