Authorities in South Australia have issued an emergency evacuation warning for the River Murray town of Walker Flat.
The State Emergency Service has said in the coming hours properties could be inundated or cut off, as water floods Angas Valley Road and Rob Loxton Road, making them completely impassable.
The SES has said residents should evacuate now.
"Flooding is expected to cause isolation to your property within 24 hours due to deterioration and flooding of the Angas Valley Road, Walker Flat," the SES said in its warning.
"Regardless of your property's ability to withstand flood impacts, there is a chance you may also become flooded.
"You need to evacuate now.
"If you do not evacuate you may be isolated or flooded."
Affected residents were door-knocked last night, and people who need accommodation can go to the emergency relief centre at the Mannum Football Club.
About 100 people live in Walker Flat, which is about 80 kilometres east of Adelaide.
The town consists mostly of holiday homes along the river.
The ferry at Walker Flat is closing from 7pm on Thursday because of the high river level.
Similar emergency warnings were issued for the Kingston-on-Murray Caravan Park on Tuesday night and for the Riverbend Caravan Park in Renmark last week over concerns about levee breaches.
A more general watch and act warning is in place for the whole River Murray in South Australia.
Flooding is expected to peak at the end of the month.
