Emergency services called to incident at shop on Boxing Day

EMERGENCY services were called to a shop on Boxing Day after a man was injured.

Emergency crews including police and ambulance were seen at the convenience store on Hamilton Road in Cambuslang, Greater Glasgow on Tuesday morning.

Multiple vehicles were parked along the street and police were spotted standing outside the premises.

Police Scotland confirmed they had been called to a report of an injured man.

It is not known where he sustained his injuries, but it is understood he sought help at the shop.

An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.20am on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, police were called to a convenience store in Hamilton Road, Cambuslang where an injured man had sought assistance. 

"Enquiries are continuing into the incident."
