Emergency services called to fire near Carmarthen train station

Crews battled a fire near Carmarthen train station this afternoon (Monday, June 26). At 2.12pm Carmarthen, Pontiets and Tumble crews were called to the scene following reports of a tractor on fire which was still alight when crews arrived.

The vehicle was completely destroyed by the flames after crews extinguised the fire using a hose reel jet with foam.

Carmarthen train station was unaffected by the incident, said a spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. You can get more Carmarthen news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
