As festival season comes to a close across Northern Ireland, some might say they have saved the best for last as a brand new music festival is set to kick off this weekend.
EMERGE Music Festival in Belfast is set to bring some of the biggest names in dance music together for a two-day summer event. Taking over the Boucher Road Playing Fields on August 27 and 28, EMERGE is brought to you by the teams behind the long-running Belfast club brand Shine and Belsonic festival.
The brand new annual multi-stage outdoor event brought will combine the cutting edge of world-class international electronic artists, and the wealth of new talent consistently coming out of the Irish market.

It will be the largest event of its kind in Ireland with a capacity of 20,000 attendees per day.
Here are the headliners at the first annual EMERGE festival:
Eric Prydz
Eric Sheridan Prydz is a Swedish DJ, record producer, and musician. He rose to fame with his 2004 hit single "Call on Me", and saw continued chart success with "Proper Education" in 2007, and "Pjanoo" in 2008.
His labels Mouseville, Pryda, & Pryda Friends are full of underground club hits and are proving to be the most successful and forward-thinking imprints currently existing.
For over ten years, Eric Prydz has been synonymous with immaculately produced and unique sounding electronic music. The Platinum-selling producer is responsible for some of the biggest progressive house tracks of the last decade, not to mention some of the most technically impressive live shows of any touring artist.
Eric Prydz impressed the people of Belfast when he appeared at Belsonic in 2018 and he is no doubt about to come back bigger and better.

Disclosure
Disclosure is an English electronic music duo consisting of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence. They grew up in Reigate, Surrey. Their debut studio album, Settle, released on 3 June 2013, by PMR Records, was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
A pop-oriented synthesis of numerous styles, including house, garage, dubstep, and bass, along with well-timed vocal collaborations, made Disclosure one of the most successful production teams of the 2010s.
Last playing in Limelight Belfast in 2021, Disclosure are a force to be reckoned with and are lined up to give the music lovers of Northern Ireland a show they will never forget.
Peggy Gou
Peggy Gou is a South Korean DJ and record producer based in Germany. She has released seven EPs on record labels, including Ninja Tune and Phonica. In 2019, she launched her own independent record label, Gudu Records, and released a DJ-Kicks compilation, DJ-Kicks: Peggy Gou, on!k7 Records.
Taught to DJ in 2009 by her friend from Korea, she had her first gig in Cirque Le Soir, Soho, and later performed weekly at The Book Club, East London.
In 2019 she launched her own Gudu Records label, with a name intended to honour both her Korean heritage and devoted fanbase highlighting both the playfulness of her approach to her creative pursuits and her work ethic.
She will be headlining the event on Sunday 28 August 2022.
Patrick Topping
Patrick Topping is an English DJ, music producer and the owner of the record label company Trick.
With releases on Hot Creations, Hottrax and Relief Records, Topping has hit number 1's on the Beatport Tech House charts, and received DJ Awards for Newcomer DJ and Track of the Season in Ibiza for his summer hit "Forget" in 2014.
The Newcastle man also won Best Tech House DJ award in 2018.
Topping has built on his DJ career, from playing gigs at his own hometown club night formally known as Motion at Digital to playing at clubs across the world including Tomorrowland (Belgium), Awakenings (Netherlands), Winter Music Conference in Miami.
They will be joined by a huge lineup of globally recognised electronic acts including Kettama, Mall Grab, Michael Bibi, DJ Seinfeld, Dusky, Special Request, FJAAK, Rebeckah and many others.
