Ellen Pompeo, known for her iconic role as Dr. Meredith Grey in the long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy, is set to increase her on-screen presence in the upcoming season 21. After a slight reduction in her episode count during season 20, Pompeo will be featured in at least seven episodes of the new season, with the potential for her screen time to expand further as the season progresses.
At 54 years old, Pompeo's increased involvement will bring her closer to the regular cast members who typically appear in double-digit numbers of episodes. This adjustment comes as part of a cost-cutting measure, with the regular cast members agreeing to reduce their on-camera appearances for the season.
