A dad has said his life "changed forever" after he received a call to say his daughter was not breathing after she was deliberately hit by a car.
Rebecca Steer, 22, known to her family as Becca, was in her last year of university at Liverpool John Moores Univeristy and had dreams of being a detective when she was hit by the Volvo Stephen McHugh was driving in Willow Street, Oswestry, on October 9 last year.
She suffered catastrophic internal injuries, including multiple rib fractures, and died in hospital. McHugh, 28, who used to live in Fazakerley, mounted the pavement and used his Volvo as a "battering ram" and treated pedestrians "like they were human skittles", BirminghamLive reports.
