A prized second-century artwork from the famed Fayoum portraits, known as the "Tondo of the Two Brothers", was unveiled following restoration in Egypt on Sunday.
Specialists from Rome worked alongside conservators at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir — where the collection is typically housed — for three weeks to restore the piece, officials announced at a press conference.
