Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi lauded Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties, reiterating Cairo's commitment to further advancing the cooperation between the two countries across various levels.
Sisi received Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Marzouq al-Ghanim, and tackled various aspects of the two countries' relations and consultations on the latest developments in the region.
Official presidential spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said Sisi welcomed Ghanim and asked for his greetings to be conveyed to Emir of Kuwait Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah.
Ghanim confirmed that the government and people of Kuwait value the firm historical bonds and close relations they share with Egypt and its people.
He underlined Kuwait's keenness on strengthening consultations and coordination with Egypt in various issues, given Cairo's pivotal role in the region as a cornerstone for security and stability in the Arab world.
Ghanim stressed his country's commitment to boosting solidarity among Arab countries and advancing joint Arab action.
