Egypt, Greece and Cyprus have renewed their backing for plans to send Cypriot gas to Europe through Egyptian export facilities, with Greece offering a possible onward route into southeastern and central Europe.
The plans come as disruption to Gulf liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies due to the ongoing Iran war and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to put pressure on European buyers to find alternatives.
