Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up.
Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.
Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.
AC Milan have swooped in to try and solve Mikel Arteta's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang transfer headache as Edu risks being out-priced by Newcastle for a reported long-term target.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United rival the north Londoners for the ideal Granit Xhaka replacement.
AC Milan plot Auba swoop
AC Milan are plotting a deal to bring Aubameyang back to the San Siro, according to Football Italia.
Arsenal's former captain, whose title was stripped last month, was on the Italian side's books between 2007 and 2011 but failed to ever make a senior appearance.
The report claims that the Rossoneri have identified Aubameyang as the man to strengthen their attack following injuries to the evergreen frontmen Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Gabon international would require at least double than what Ibrahimovic earns, who is already Milan's top earner on £120,000-a-week, according to reports.
Our view: Arsenal must offload Aubameyang this month.
Arteta has proven the Gunners can live without him, taking his wages off the table opens new opportunities in the transfer market and his deal expires at the end of next season anyway.
Arsenal blown out the park in transfer race
Arsenal have reignited their pursuit for Lyon Bruno Guimaraes but Newcastle are set to pull out all the stops to secure the 24-year-old's signature, according to various reports.
The midfielder is set to undergo a medical in Ecuador, where he is on international duty, ahead of a proposed transfer to St James' Park, according to The Chronicle Live.
Guimaraes has made 25 appearances this season for the French side across all competitions and has impressed in Ligue 1 since arriving from Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense in 2020.
The Magpies have tabled a €40 million (£33.4m) bid for the Brazilian in a deal which would reportedly quadruple Guimaraes' current salary, which is at €220,000 (around £153,000) a month, as per Fabrizio Romano and French outlet L’Équipe (via GFFN).
Our view: Money - usually - talks unfortunately but Arsenal would by no means be the losers in this deal. If anything, they would be the winners.
If a Newcastle deal for Guimaraes goes through then the Gunners are only losing out on a mercenary.
Gunners face competition for Xhaka replacement
Arsenal have joined Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for Ruben Neves' signature as Edu scours the market for a Xhaka replacement, according to The Athletic.
The Wolves midfielder has excelled this season under new management at Molineux, guiding his side to within touching distance of European football.
Neves' displays have attracted the attention of several clubs, one of which is Arsenal who are said to be 'very impressed' with the 24-year-old, as per the aforementioned report.
The Athletic add that the Portugal international could cost Arsenal around £38 million for his services.
Our view: I'm a massive fan of Neves and I think he'd be a great signing for Arteta.
Not only is he a good player with the potential to be a top Premier League midfielder but he also has an element of magic in his locker that produces 'the spectacular.'
He also doesn't get as many red cards as Xhaka which is always a bonus.
