Edu’s interest in Arthur Melo should be rebuffed by the Arsenal hierarchy once again. The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a summer move to the Gunners.
According to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the north London side remains interested in signing Arthur from Juventus. A deal was close to completion in January but it never managed to materialise after negotiations began late in the window.
Arthur would have been an excellent short-term solution for the Gunners. But with the summer transfer window having a longer duration, it means that Edu should dedicate more time to signing a midfielder who will better suit Mikel Arteta’s system.
